Thinking of ideas for Christmas gifts for babies can be tough. If they are born earlier on in the year maybe not so hard but what about if they are only newborns right before Christmas? Often parents and family say whatever the age they won’t give too many gifts to baby but c’mon be serious! It is after all baby’s first ever Christmas and they’ve got to be spoilt… right?

Maybe baby won’t need clothes. Not unless you want to buy them something seriously cute for their Christmas family photo opportunity. You can dress them up as baby Santas and Rudolphs till your hearts content.If you aren’t into the dressing baby up thing then maybe just a Christmas bib is enough.

Games with your baby

Parents that are too anxious for their child to achieve immediate results, and others that are indifferent and do not value the effort are both contra productive. Games need to be fun for everyone that is participating in them.

Songs and childish rhymes are more and more important during this stage. The child will not only move to the music but will also try to sing. At this age babies will also invent texts that have to do with their body parts so that you signal to them, so teach your baby a happy and fun intonation with mimics, clapping and gestures.

Yoga for mom and baby

Today I will show you six easy yogaexercises. Do them slowly and lsten to your body.
Do the six poses in sequence, taking a short rest between each of them. When you finish lie on your back and rest for a few minutes.

The bridge – Setu bandhasana

You: Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet hip-width apart. Bring your feet up towards your bottom. Hold your baby (see below) or let your arms rest by your sides with palms turned down. Exhale and slowly lift your hips to a comfortable height. Hold for five to six breaths. Feel the stretch in your bottom and lower legs. Inhale and slowly lower your hips back to the floor.
