How to calculate due date

When I got known I’m pregnant I tried to find out due date – the day which will be my baby’s birthday. I think this question is interesting for every mom. Let’s see how to calculate due date.

Your Pregnancy period – the happy period when you are waiting for your baby in average equals 280 days and it is calculated from the first day of your last normal menstrual period.

Pregnancy is usually lasts 40 weeks or 10 lunar months or 9 calendar months.

What about your due date?
If you know a conception date– it is very easy to calculate your baby’s birth day. Add 264 days to that day and you got your due date.

Otherwise, take the first day of your last normal menstrual period, minus 3 months and add 7 days. For example, first day of your last normal menstrual period was December the 1st – minus 3 month – equals September the 1st and plus 7 days – due date is September the 8st.

However, all this calculation cannot give you 100% true result. But it could provide you with an approximate date.

By the way, my son was born 2 days before the due date I calculated. So this method of due date calculation really works.
